Cloquet Automotive opened its doors in November of 1982 and was built by Riihiluoma Construction. The current owner, Bruce Becker, took his life savings and purchased the building in 1988. Since then the business has grown from 2000 square feet to 4700 square feet after a 2700 square foot addition was added in 2002.
Cloquet Automotive has an excellent reputation for transmission rebuilding and repair. However, they also provide a variety of other vehicle maintenance and repair services. In fact their customer base has steadily increased over the years and they now service over 1400 customers!
The business currently consists of four employees: Bruce Becker, Cissy Otis, Eric Dawe and Ron Bruneau (please see their information under our shop staff page). All of our staff members are eager and willing to help you with your automotive needs. We look forward to meeting you!
Our automatic transmission shop is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics.
Cloquet Automotive pledges to all of our customers that we will not remove a transmission from a vehicle in order to complete a repair unless absolutely necessary. Additionally our shop promises to diagnose transmission problems for all of our local and surrounding area customers in an honest and expert manner.
