Meet Our Staff

The staff at our Cloquet Automotive service and repair center are all highly trained and certified technicians with one common goal in mind - quality service at honest prices. Our transmission center is diligent in applying the ATRA Member Code of Ethics to all of our transmission repair and diagnostic services for the purpose of better assisting our customers with their repair needs and concerns. Adherence to the ATRA Code of Ethics also helps ensure that when you bring in your vehicle for transmission service or repair you know that you are receiving honest and professional service from our technical staff. Our transmission technicians are always polite and courteous in their effort to provide you with the quality of service you want and deserve.

Owner / Transmission Specialist

Bruce Becker purchased Cloquet Automotive in 1988. He learned the transmission industry from the previous owner who had been in the transmission business for over 30 years. Bruce expanded his business in July of 2002 by adding on a 2700 square foot addition. Cloquet Automotive continues to grow and currently services about 1400 customers. Bruce takes great pride in the service that he provides to his customers and the community. Even after over 29 years in the automotive industry Bruce still loves coming to work every day!

Office Manager

Jon Becker, son of Bruce Becker, is the newest and youngest employee at Cloquet Automotive. Jon has worked at Cloquet Automotive for over a year and runs the day to day office operations. Jon attended the Minneapolis School of Business and attained a degree in computer programming. “I enjoy working the office area of things. It allows me to use my education, as well as, greet, meet, and help our customers every day. It’s something I take great pride in.” “I still have much to learn on the business and automotive end of things, but I am up for the challenge and look forward to learning them as they come.” Says Jon

Ron has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He loves working on vehicles and the challenge of learning something new on a daily basis. Ron also enjoys talking to the customers and helping them. Ron says, "I enjoy the satisfaction of fixing something that doesn't work and when I'm done I can see a vehicle in town knowing that I fixed that car and have made someone happy again."
